Is it kind? Is it helpful?

It is difficult when we are close to people with an opposite position,
whether it be family, colleagues, friends, neighbors, OR even opposing thoughts inside ourselves.

If you hope to build bridges, ask yourself before you talk:
Is it kind?  Is it helpful?

If the answer is no,  stop.

What does a flower have to do with it?
Consider the lotus life cycle.

The lotus has a life cycle unlike any other plant.
With its roots latched in mud, it submerges every night into river water and miraculously re-blooms the next morning, sparklingly clean.
In many cultures, this process associates the flower with rebirth and spiritual enlightenment.
With its daily process of life, death, and reemergence, its no wonder that the lotus holds such symbolism.

I think we’ve probably all been in the mud at some time! How do you emerge?
