How much water are you consuming?
Even a small amount of dehydration effects performance both physically and mentally. Particularly, on these hot days it is easy to fall behind on consumption.
The Institute of Medicine recommends that most women get about 2.7 liters of water a day (or about 12 cups), and most men get about 3.7 liters a day (or about 15 cups).
I carry with me a one-liter bottle and make sure to refill it at least twice. Good tasting water at room temperature makes it easier to drink. Add a slice of cucumber, lime or lemon to jazz it up!
