Leaders with virtual employees will need to both ask better open ended questions and take advantage of Facetime/Skype (if available) to learn where a virtual employee is on any topic. This means that leaders with virtual employees will need to bring their “A” game to work everyday!
Mike, Thanks for pointing that out. I always try to do video conferences when I am virtual. It makes a huge difference on both ends.
