One of three things happens, select carefully when you tell someone what to do.

  1. He will be happy for the info and go forth and be successful.
  2. He will miss out on the opportunity to learn and innovate by thinking through it himself.
  3. He will resent you when it doesn’t go well – it will be your fault.
